Caregivers and Home Health Aides are caretakers for our clients that specialize in "non-skilled" care. This position is great for individuals that are new to the health care field as well as those who are more experienced. Caregivers are responsible for aiding our clients with day-to-day activities such as including cooking, cleaning, and companionship. Individuals with more experience fall into our Home Health Aid Category where responsibilities are increased for them. HHAs will aid clients with the tasks above along with bathing, dressing, mobility, and grooming assistance for more hands-on clients.

CNA/MA

Certified Nursing Assistants and Medical Assistants are skilled individuals who have passed the associated course(s). As a CNA/MA at GLHCU you will often be paired with our more skilled clients who require the skills you have learned in your classes. This includes helping with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming or aiding a client with homemaking tasks (Cooking, Cleaning, Companionship). Along with aiding clients with mobility issues or those that are bedridden.

These professionals utilize their knowledge and skills to care for our most skilled clients who need direct medical care to function daily. Our nurses work one on one with clients to provide in-home treatment, support, and/or education for needs such as medication administration, wound care, skincare, and assessment, tube-feedings, oral feedings, monitoring client intake and output, assessment of bodily functions, bowel care programs,s seizure activity assessments and more. Occasionally a client will also request "non-skilled" tasks be completed on shift as well.
