What is the Aid and Attendance Pension?
A branch of the VA, the Veterans Benefits Administration, offers monthly payments to vets who do not have a disability that is a result from their service.
Aide and Attendance Qualification
To qualify for aide and attendance, the veteran must have 90 days of active duty, with one day during wartime, and an honorable discharge. There must also be a medical condition that prevents the vet from doing daily living tasks. Lastly, the vet must have a net worth of $127,061 or less
What is a VA defined war period?
- World War II: December 7, 1941-December 31, 1946
- Korean Conflict: June 27, 1950-January 31, 1955
- Vietnam Era: August 5, 1964-May 7, 1975
- Persian Gulf War: August 2, 1990
